How old do I have to be to be a part of GEM Academy?
We accept participants between the ages of 16-25 years of age.
What if I am not a permanent resident or citizen?
No problem! Citizenship or residency is not a requirement for participation.
Do I need a certain amount of credits to enroll?
No, you don't, but less credits mean more time needed to graduate.
What if I have a child and I need help with child-care?
We can direct you to various programs that offer free child-care services.
What if I don't speak English well?
English learners are welcome to apply! We will get you started with Rosetta Stone to help you learn more English.
Do I need my parent(s)/ legal guardian(s) present at the time of enrollment?
Minors (under the age of 18) are required to have a parent/ legal guardian present at the time of enrollment.
What if I have an IEP?
Students with IEPs are welcome! Please have your IEP ready upon enrollment.
I work part-time. Are there any accommodations for me?

How much is tuition?
$0! Our program is FREE!
I need help with transportation. Do you provide bus passes or tokens?
Bus passes are provided to full-time enrolled participants that are actively engaged in the IV League (Internship/ Volunteer Program).
How soon can I graduate from the High School Diploma program?
It varies with each participant's academic progress and commitment to graduate.
